Hi! I’m Gracie Revland •

One of the two mamas who created Supporting Chaos. It's hard to put into words how excited we are to grow this community of support! So all I can say is thank you so much for being here and being a part of it!

I am a mother to two beautiful little girls, Harley (three) and baby Mila. I am originally from Charleston, SC, where I met my amazing husband, Justin. Though Charleston still has our hearts, our careers led us to Charlotte, NC, where we are raising our girls.

I've always had a passion for encouraging and teaching tiny humans. I started to follow that passion over ten years ago with my first job as a daycare teacher. Watching those tiny humans learn and grow convinced me to further my education at Georgia Southern University, in which I studied Child Development and Education. Using my degree, I then moved onto teaching Kindergarten and then First grade here in Charlotte.

My studies and experiences have taught me a lot, but being a mama has too. I've learned to (occasionally, haha) step outside of my teacher's perspective and tweak what I have learned and studied to the realities of being a mama.

Understanding the development of children has been a lifesaver in my parenting journey. Quite frankly, it saves me from losing it in those frustrating situations. However, I realize everyone does not have that same nerdiness and interests in studying children. My goal is to provide you with information that I feel has been a game-changer to me as a parent but in a more attainable and fun format.

The chaos of mamahood comes with some incredible ups and some difficult downs, and I'm here to support you with both!

Sleep: The Basics

Sleep is on everyone’s mind when you have a baby. Not only do you get to live through the lack of sleep, but for some reason, everyone loves to ask, “so how are they sleeping?” Like it’s some universal sign for how good of a baby or parent you are.

Night 2 In The Hospital

Night 2 in the hospital is something every new parent needs to know about beforehand. Some of you out there may get lucky, and night two might not be so bad. However, for a lot of you, night two will be the same shock a lot of us had.

Responding to “No”

Often your first “welcome to toddlerhood” comes with the “no” phase. Sometimes, if you’re really lucky, you’ll experience it more than once in toddlerhood.

5 Parenting Traps To Avoid

Knowledge is power, and too often, we make mistakes solely from not knowing things. It is so so so common to look back on parenting choices and be baffled at how you handled something. Yep, I have been there myself.
